As a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative, Guardian Credit Union is guided by a governance model rooted in service, transparency, and community responsibility. Unlike traditional financial institutions, Guardian does not answer to outside investors or shareholders. Instead, our members are the owners, and the people who help guide our mission forward are the members themselves.

Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated individuals who are elected by our membership to represent the best interests of the credit union.

Each director brings their own professional expertise and community perspective, but what unites them is their commitment to Guardian’s mission: empowering financial wellbeing across the communities we serve.

Importantly, our directors serve entirely on a volunteer basis and receive no financial compensation for their time, insight, or leadership.

Their service is a true reflection of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”

They volunteer because they believe in Guardian, they believe in our members, and they believe in building a stronger financial future for our community.

Through strategic oversight, long-term planning, and careful stewardship of member resources, the Board ensures that Guardian remains trustworthy, forward-thinking, and focused on delivering real value to the people we exist to serve.
