MPD's Operation: Blue Santa

Creating good experiences is one of Guardian’s Shared Values and something all of our employees strive to do every day. Not only do we want our members to have good experiences in our branches, but we also do what we can for the entire community we serve. Our Prattville teams have developed a great relationship with the Millbrook Police Department.

Each holiday season we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with them for Operation Blue Santa. Blue Santa is a toy collection drive MPD headlines during the holiday season for families in need. Families fill out an application to qualify, and in 2019, 200 children received toys!

We volunteer our Prattville branches as donation sites to collect toys, allowing both our employees and members to contribute to this great cause. Operation Blue Santa collects gifts for children under the age of 12. Lt. Don Pugh of MPD came up with this idea and its popularity and impact grow every year. Both the American Legion Post 133 and Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club are big supporters of MPD and Blue Santa; they raise money and collect donations year-round for this special cause.
