How do I change my address?
- Use Card Control in the mobile app
- Mail in a signed and dated request with your old and new address
- Email the request as an attachment to memberservices@myguardiancu.com or visit your local branch and speak with a member of our team
A copy of your Valid State Issued Photo ID is required with a mailed or emailed request.

How do I change my name?
Simply provide a copy of both your Driver’s License and Social Security Card with your new name as well as any supporting documents (i.e. Marriage Certificate or other legal certification).
How do I remove someone from my account?
You will need to resign a Master Account Agreement Signature Card. Please see a Representative for more details.
How do I add someone to my account?
You will need to resign a Master Account Agreement Signature Card, and the person you are adding will need to submit two forms of ID.

How do I open an account?
To qualify for membership, you must be active or retired Alabama Army or Air National Guard or be a member of a select employee group listed on the membership page. You may also live, work, worship or attend school in one of our chartered counties listed on the membership page.

Will I be charged for using an ATM?
No, Guardian Credit Union does not charge members for using ATMs. However, if the ATM is not a member of the Credit Union 24 (CU24) or Money Pass networks, members may incur a non-refundable ATM access fee. For a list of all Surcharge-Free ATMs in your area please use our online ATM locator.
What is the minimum balance for a Share Account?
No. There are no maintenance fees associated with Guardian Credit Union's regular Share Draft Account.
Does overdraft protection cost anything?
There is no monthly maintenance fee for overdraft protection. If you have overdraft protection you will only receive an overdraft charge per item over-drafted at the current overdraft rate.
Does Guardian Credit Union offer Safe Deposit Boxes?
Yes, Guardian Credit Union offers a variety of box sizes to suit any need. Please ask a Representative for current prices.
How much does a gift card cost and how much can you load?
Guardian Credit Union offers VISA Gift Cards for $3.99 each with a minimum load amount of $10.00 and a maximum load amount of $500.00.
How old do I have to be to open account?
To open account with Guardian Credit Union you must be at least 18 years of age or have a legal guardian on your account with you until your 18th birthday.
