The credit union at the International Paper Mill was founded in the late 1960s by a group of men mill workers, establishing Washington Hill Credit Union. By way of different mergers throughout the years, in 2010 this became part of the larger Guardian brand. Today, our branch at the International Paper Mill is dedicated to serving employees and their families with convenient, on-site banking. With our branch located on the property, we make it easy for shift workers to handle their banking needs during breaks. We also collaborate with the Mill’s HR Department for all new hire classes, ensuring they understand the benefits of banking with Guardian, including exclusive products, services, and discounted rates. For added convenience, we open early on payday, allowing workers finishing or starting their shifts to take care of their banking right after receiving their payroll checks.
