Tallassee

Our Tallassee Branch opened its doors in 2012, starting with humble beginnings next to a dance studio. This original location was in a renovated warehouse in Downtown Tallassee, part of the historic Company Store, which played a significant role during the era of the Tallassee Cotton Mill. As our membership grew, we opened the current building in 2017, expanding our ability to serve the community. Our newest addition to the branch includes a small, blue community library outside the front of our doors, offering a place for people to share books and connect with one another. With a knowledgeable and dedicated team, we’re committed to meeting the needs of our members. Every Christmas, we sponsor a breakfast at 1220 Café to show appreciation for the hard-working employees of the City of Tallassee, from the maintenance department to the police, fire, and city hall staff.
